Link FAQ

1. What is the Link?

Link is an environment where adults come to build authentic friendships and get connected. Link gatherings consist of about 20-24 people who meet together at least four times over the course of two months. During a Link night, community is the focus. Link is not a Bible study.

2. Who is the Link for?

The Link was established to facilitate community and friendship for single adults attending Church on the Move. We do encourage Church on the Move attendees to invite guests; however, each guest should be accompanied by a Church on the Move attendee and should register at the beginning of each Link cycle.

The young married couples of Church on the Move can now be a part of the Link. Under the same guidelines as the regular Link group for single adults, we established Link² just for young married couples.

Link groups are formatted in the following manner:

• High school graduate through age 23
• Ages 24 through 29
• Ages 30 through 39
• Ages 40 through 49
• Young Married Couples

3. How does Link work?

Link gatherings meet at least four times over the course of two months. Each team decides which day and time they will get together. Most kickoff nights will be on Sunday evenings. The first night will be a large gathering at COTM where you will be placed in your small group, allowing community and fellowship to begin. The additional three gatherings will be throughout the Greater Tulsa area for dinner and activities within your small group.

4. How will I know who is in my small group?

Link was created to encourage connection with other adults at Church on the Move who are not a part of your immediate community. We are sensitive to the reluctance to invite others into community, so we have allowed you, upon registration, to choose up to four other individuals you would like to have in your group. We will group you with at least one of your requests, helping to create better community for you. Each group will consist of both male and female participants.

5. Can I join a Link group at any time?

Link groups happen in four cycles every year. You will need to register at the beginning of each cycle you plan to attend. The cycles are as follows:

• Spring Cycle (April/May)
• Summer Cycle (August/September)
• Fall Cycle (October/November)
• Winter Cycle (February/March)

We will keep you informed about our cycle launch dates through the website, Twitter, Facebook, and weekend announcements.

6. Is childcare provided at Link events?

Due to the variety of dates and times of Link events, childcare will not be provided, and children may not attend. Participants need to schedule adequate childcare at their own homes or at a childcare facility of their choice.

7. What if I am separated/divorced?

If you are separated and/or going through the process of divorce (meaning you are still legally married), we request that you do not sign up for the Link at this time.

8. Is there any cost associated with Link?

Participants are responsible to cover their own costs for any activities, meals, or events. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from all Link events. Link t-shirts are available for purchase at $10.00 each, but t-shirts are not required in order to participate.

9. Am I guaranteed to find my soul mate?

If you are seriously asking this question, the answer is likely...NO! The Link is a safe environment where singles can find community and develop healthy friendships within the Church on the Move family. Inappropriate behavior or advances toward the opposite sex will not be tolerated and can serve as reason for dismissal from Link.
