Welcome to the Kids on the Move Parent Blog!
Our goal is to help your kids learn to TRUST GOD with anything, to make WISE DECISIONS, and to TREAT OTHERS the way they want to be treated! We will be posting fun activities for you to do with your kids, discussion questions, and home handouts. The Parent Blog will keep you up to date with what your kids are learning in Kids on the Move!
Ephesians 2:10a "I am God's masterpiece. He made me new in Christ Jesus..."
When we compare ourselves to others, we might feel like we aren’t good enough. God doesn’t want us to live this way. He calls us His masterpiece. He doesn’t want us to compare ourselves to other people, but He wants us to be who He created us to be.
I don't have to be scared because God loves me! Speak God’s Word over any fears or doubts you might have.
Grow closer to God by spending time with Him each day! Download the Kids on the Move Devotional or follow along with us on Social Media!
Take what’s less important and put it to the side, so that you have time for what’s more important.
The truth is, God doesn’t need us to be perfect. You might mess up, but don’t give up. God can still use you! When you sin, ask God for forgiveness. Ask Him to help you change and keep loving God and loving others!
We follow Jesus like He is our King. We treat what He says with honor and respect and we obey what He tells us to do. Jesus wants to be our friend, teacher, and servant, but He has to be our king first!
God made all of creation! Use the telescope to look at the stars and begin talking with your kids about just how big our God is!
“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.” 1 John 4:10-11
We've all sinned. Jesus didn’t wait for us to get “clean” and be perfect. He died for everyone (and came back to life!) even when we were still sinners! If Jesus loved us when we were sinners, then we should love others too, even the people that are hard to love. We should pray for them and love them like Jesus loved us!
Our relationship with Jesus is the most important thing, so we need to surround ourselves with Godly friends who are going to help us get closer and closer to Jesus! Discuss with your family the importance of choosing friends wisely while you do this activity together.
Our love, value, acceptance, and importance is found in one person - Jesus! Jesus is the one who gives us everything we need.
“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
Jesus set the best example in noticing our deepest needs. He saved us from sin so that we could have a place in God’s Family. We should help others too because Jesus helped us!
Throughout the story of Joseph, we see that God was always with him. Even when things were bad, God was with Joseph. It’s the same for us; Jesus is always with us!
God has a plan for you, and His plan for you is better than any other! The most important part of God’s plan for you is following Jesus. Even though you may face problems and challenges, you are going to make it through because God has a plan for you!
“Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
"I am God’s masterpiece. He made me new in Christ Jesus so I can do the good things He planned for me." Ephesians 2:10
If you haven’t already heard, June 3rd and 4th is officially our Upgrade Weekend. Upgrade weekend is the week that all of our kids and students move up a grade. For some grades, this is when they will move classrooms as well. Below is a list of completed grades and the classrooms where they will be moving for each campus.
“I am not afraid, because God is with me. He will strengthen me and help me.” Isaiah 41:10
“Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
When we start reading, speaking and believing what God says about us, we are able to transform our minds. When we start transforming our minds by thinking God’s thoughts, we become unstoppable!
Draw your favorite parts of the story of Paul onto your comic page. Enjoy!
Read one confession on healing every day! Meditate on what each one says, and remember that God’s Word is like medicine!
This is a focused time with your kids where you can have a fun and uplifting conversation about their week, how they’re doing in school, questions they have about the Bible or whatever else comes to mind. It’s a conversation. Engage with your kids!
There are people everywhere who need Jesus and a church to be a part of. All they are waiting on, is for someone to ask them!
Good things come from
God! God cannot send us
anything bad, and that
includes sickness. Sickness
and disease never come
from God. They come from
the devil. The devil is the
one who comes to steal, kill,
and destroy the things in our
life. Jesus is the one who
came to give us a great life!
Show some of your kids' leaders that you care for them. When we honor and obey our leaders, we are honoring God. God has placed leaders in our lives for a reason, so let's appreciate them this week!
We want your kids to remember that we are blessed when we obey. Obeying is a lot like hitting a piñata. In order to get the candy, you must do the action of hitting the piñata. If you want blessings in life, you must be obedient. To remind your kids of this truth, we thought that it would be fun to make your own piñata.
